Board of Directors

Helena Area Habitat for Humanity (HAHFH) Board of Directors is the governing body of the organization. Directors are elected to serve a three year term and can serve two consecutive terms. The responsibility of the Board of Directors is to develop policies and oversee the assets of HAHFH.

Committees

Building Committee

The Building Committee works within the HAHFH structure to build quality, simple, and affordable homes with our partner families. The Building Committee’s duties include:

Family Support Committee

Lynn Long, Chair
The Family Support Committee assumes family support responsibilities for families selected by the Board of Directors to become Habitat partners and homeowners. The committee is an integral part of developing and empowering families to break the cycle of poverty and gain independence. The committee seeks to welcome new families into the Habitat program and provide them with a mutual support system, educational opportunities and a forum for discussions pertinent to ownership of a Habitat home.

The Family Support Committee’s goal is to help families transition into responsible home ownership. The committee seeks to welcome new families to HAHFH and provide them with coordinators to assist them in making this transition. As HAHFH grows and works with families, the goal becomes families helping families.

To achieve this goal, the committee will:

Resource and Development Committee

The Resource and Development Committee promotes the message of Habitat for Humanity by raising public awareness, developing long-term financial support and building church and civic support. The committee will:
