build more than just their homes. We help to build dreams. Thanks to gifts from generous friends like you, the dream of home ownership is coming true for families in our community and abroad. While partner families are responsible for a no-interest mortgage to repay the cost of building their homes, Habitat is initially responsible for covering the cost of construction. We truly appreciate your contributions that will assist Helena Habitat with constructing decent and affordable housing for those in need.
Contributions are the bedrock of Habitat for Humanity’s housing ministry. Through a steady and consistent gift, set up for automatic deduction from a credit card or a checking account, regular donors provide HAHFH with a stable and reliable source of funding that allows us to plan ahead. In addition, stocks, bonds and mutual funds can increase our ability to construct partner family homes in the future. Land is a much needed commodity for the success of our program. Real estate contributions give us a place to build and are greatly appreciated.
Other ways to contribute are planned giving and memorial/living honor gifts. As you plan for your future and the security of your loved ones, HAHFH has numerous programs that allow you to make a meaningful charitable gift to support the ministry’s homebuilding after your lifetime. Through wills, trusts, life insurance and retirement assets you can assure that your legacy will last long after you are gone. Memorial gifts are heart-warming contributions in memory of someone you love. A home built with funds from a memorial gift becomes a living symbol of a person’s life. A symbol filled with the laughter of children and the gratefulness of an appreciative family. A living honor gift is a way to celebrate special occasions or events such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, anniversaries, holidays or other achievements.
Shelter from rain, wind and sun is a basic human need. With your help more deserving families can have decent homes. The building materials, supplies and properties that your contributions provide will make the dream of a modest home a reality for those in need.
