Working together with donors, volunteers and partners, HAHFH provides shelter for Helena families that breaks the cycle of poverty and gives children the opportunity to live in a home they can take pride in, building self-esteem and a brighter future. Community members are given an opportunity to participate through both financial contributions and “hands-on” volunteer support.
Through volunteer labor and the tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat builds homes in partnership with future homeowners. Partnership families are selected based on their level of need, their willingness to become partners in the program and their ability to repay a no-interest loan. HAHFH follows a non-discriminatory policy of family selection. Neither race nor religion are factors in choosing those who receive homes.
